Dancing with the Waco Stars is an annual charity event to bring people together, have a great time, and raise money for an important cause.
This year’s Dancing with the Waco Stars was record-breaking, raising the most money we ever have for local organization, Family Abuse Center.
Family Abuse Center helps adults and children experience life without violence. The Center provides shelter, counseling, legal aid and many other opportunities to start afresh.
Arthur Murray Waco is committed to fostering positive interaction and helping community members grow. Any organization that supports healthy relationships, we want to be a part of.
For Dancing with the Waco stars, our instructors paired with local stars across our community: professors, doctors, local business owners, entrepreneurs.
This year’s Ballroom Champion was Glenda Strum: retired educator, real estate professional, and civic leader. Strum danced with our ballroom pro Bryan Tate.
Stars began preparing with very little dance experience. In less than three months of studio time, each star was ready to perform on-stage. A testament that anyone can learn to dance, and make strides quickly.
Thank you stars, dancers, and all for your support. We look forward to dancing for this great cause again next year.
